Thank you to everyone who came to our opening reception of “Silent Walls Loud Voices”, the show will be open until the 28th of May, hope you can make it to check it out! Had a great time @khncenter! I'm so lucky to have had the opportunity to focus on my artwork and try some new things and get back into oil painting after a break + meet other artists and share a delicious meal together! 💖 Shipped out the 33 prints for the for the Culture Currency Exchange organized by @_marianaastete !! So honored to have been able to host a painting workshop at the Courageous Mujer retreat this year 🤩 here’s a short video showing the paintings and fun pics 🤗 Snippets of the show !Thank you to @theoryofbrian for the photos !! 📸📸📸 Thank you to everyone that came to show support for my MFA thesis exhibition! There's so much love in my heart for everyone that has been a part of the journey of grad school and I couldn't get a picture with all of them !! Will post more pics of the work later!! Wanted to share some details of the ofrenda, plus the wonderful people I met, other ofrendas one made by @raiz.del.sur and finally some wonderful museum moments. I recently had the honor of participating in the Smithsonian’s @uslatinomuseum Día de los Muertos celebration by creating an ofrenda to honor Elvira Hernandez, a beloved figure from Nebraska. This experience was deeply meaningful and also a first for me—I had never built an ofrenda before. Traditionally, ofrendas are a way to honor loved ones who have passed, having their favorite foods, items etc. I’m so very grateful for the opportunity to contribute and to learn more about this tradition through the experience. “Luminance” acrylic airbrush, charcoal and oil paint Finally getting to post what I did this summer! Here’s a snippet of me going to @penlandschool with @constellationstudios ! First time sculpting! Self Portrait, about 6’ by 4’, acrylic, charcoal and oil paint. This piece is from this past spring, I’m finally going to try to catch up with the newer work I’ve been doing, but let me know your thoughts! Porch Art Palooza! “Transition” “Growth”
